First United Church is hosting a day-long workshop lead by Chaplain Angela King, Specialist (CASC), MTS, ARCT. Angela has been a Chaplain with The Good Samaritan Society since July 2013. She divides her time between Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre in Edmonton and Good Samaritan Good Shepherd Care Home in Wetaskiwin.
As a certified Positive Approach to Care™ Trainer in dementia care, Angela is as passionate about her work with people living with dementia as she is about reframing our understanding of brain change and the skills needed to connect with our loved ones who are living with dementia.
Cost is $20 and includes lunch and nutrition breaks.
Registration begins at 9:00 am. Registration fee must be received by First United Church before April 28th to reserve your spot. A drop box is available for payments on the the northeast corner the of building.
