Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre Positive Approach to Care – Dementia Care Skills Training

March 4, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm MST

Free

Join Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre for a one day workshop on dementia care skills training. Friends, family, and volunteers are all invited!

Learn to communicate differently and more effectively with Persons Living with Dementia from Angela King, Good Samaritan Chaplain and Certified Positive Approach to Care  (PAC™) Trainer.

How do we remain in relationship with a changing brain?

All PAC™ workshops teach participants HOW to respond to a person’s change in cognition and abilities in ways that are not hurtful or offensive to the Person Living With Dementia.

By understanding the nature of skill loss and preserved abilities, we will learn to communicate differently and more effectively with Persons Living With Dementia.

Dementia Awareness. Dementia Knowledge. Dementia Skill.
