50/50 Raffle Rules

Join The Good Samaritan Society 50/50 for your chance to win up to $10,000 each month!

Support new care home construction, critical equipment, and vital programs with every ticket you purchase.

  1. The draw is open to the public.
  2. Players must reside in Alberta and be 18 years or older.
  3. Tickets must be purchased with a major credit card, Visa Debit or MasterCard Debit. Credit cards used for payment must have an Alberta Address.
  4. 13,125 tickets total will be available for each draw. Tickets will be available online and sold at a rate of:
    • One ticket for $10 (125 available = 125 tickets).
    • Four tickets for $20 (125 packages available = 500 tickets).
    • 20 tickets for $50 (125 packages available = 2,500 tickets).
    • 100 tickets for $100 (100 packages available = 10,000 tickets).
  5. Ticket sales start on the first day of each month (unless it falls on a weekend or holiday, then the next business day), and sales will end on the last Friday at 11:00 AM MT.
  6. The 50/50 draw will occur at The Good Samaritan Society Head Office, 8861 – 75 Street, Edmonton, Alberta, at 12:00 PM MT.
  7. The maximum prize for each 50/50 raffle will be $20,000; the winner will receive a maximum of $10,000 (50% payout).
  8. All participants must provide an email address. The registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS), Rafflebox, will email tickets to purchasers. A physical ticket will not be mailed out for this draw.
  9. A minimum of 100 tickets must be sold before a request for a draw date extension may be made. The new draw date will be posted on the 50/50 raffle site.
  10. The winners will be determined by a random draw utilizing an Alberta Gaming Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS) Random Number Generator (RNG).
  11. A Good Samaritan Society staff member will contact the winning ticket holder by phone and email. The winner will have 90 days to claim their prize; if it remains unclaimed after 90 days, it will be donated back to The Good Samaritan Society upon AGLC approval.
  12. Draw results will appear on the raffle webpage and on the organization’s social media pages.
  13. If more than one name is written on a winning ticket stub, the prize will be awarded to only one of the individuals named on the ticket stub (to the first name listed). Neither The Good Samaritan Society nor AGLC is responsible for any disputes among the individuals whose names are written on the ticket stub.
  14. By playing, you consent to The Good Samaritan Society to publish your name and winning ticket numbers.
  15. All ticket sales are final. Once a ticket has been purchased, refunds will not be granted.
  16. As AWS hosts the Electronic Raffle Supplier, there is no risk of power failure impacting the draw.
