“Without a vision the people will perish.”
This is the year for 20/20 vision! Scripture tells us that without a vision the people perish. A vision helps us to see possibilities and opportunities. Our vision statement is that as an organization we will grow in strength, excellence and creativity in caring for others.
There are endless opportunities to foster a vision of excellence across the Good Samaritan organization. We are committed to providing holistic care for everyone who lives in our care homes. A vibrant approach to wholeness in care includes not only physical care, but also the spiritual well‑being of each individual.
Across every care home, the pastoral program provides leadership towards spiritual well-being through worship services, singing, bible studies, prayer and life meaning groups. Chaplains also provide individual spiritual care to nurture the spirit and empower the soul, encompassing a variety of rich and meaningful traditions. In addition, chaplains also provide specialized pastoral care for individuals who are palliative, who are grieving or who are living with dementia. The pastoral presence of celebrating milestones with residents, family and staff adds to ongoing rich relationships of sacred living.
We would like to invite you to share in our vision as we allow God to work through each of us in the blessed calling of caring for others. Your donation will go to our Pastoral Care Fund and will help us in this special ministry.
