Good Samaritan Cooks play a vital role in creating delicious, nutritious meals for residents, staff, and visitors. From crafting meals that meet dietary needs to maintaining a safe and spotless kitchen, every task you take on contributes to a welcoming and caring environment. COOK 1 focuses on keeping the kitchen running smoothly, while COOK 2 ensures food preparation meets the highest safety and quality standards. Maintenance Workers ensure Good Samaritan sites are safe, functional, and well-maintained. Responsibilities include daily inspections to meet fire, safety, and care standards, monitoring HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, and performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. You’ll also collaborate with contractors on major repairs and renovations.

Tasks may involve maintaining heavy-duty equipment like sterilizers, commercial dishwashers, and laundry machines, as well as care equipment such as lifts, wheelchairs, and beds. Carpentry duties include repairing furniture, installing locks, and hanging blinds or pictures. Guided by Good Samaritan’s mission and values, you’ll deliver quality, family-centered care, using your expertise to support a safe and welcoming environment.

Occupational Therapists delivers comprehensive OT services, including ADL assessments, mobility and seating, skin integrity, dysphagia management, equipment recommendations, splinting, fall prevention, and safety education. They assess clients, develop care plans, and adjust interventions as needed, ensuring timely communication with decision-makers and the care team.

The Occupational Therapist collaborates with team members to address issues, share updates, and gather feedback. Documentation is completed promptly, adhering to legal standards. Guided by Good Samaritan’s mission and values, they provide safe, quality, and family-centered care, using their expertise to support client well-being.

Physical Therapists deliver rehabilitation services in accordance with the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta or British Columbia guidelines. They demonstrate strong leadership, addressing conflicts positively, and reporting family concerns promptly. With sound judgment, they assess and address safety hazards, participate in risk prevention, and ensure residents’ treatment plans meet their needs.

Physical Therapists proactively monitor staffing levels, manage resources cost-effectively, and assign tasks to Aides and Assistants, ensuring competence aligns with professional guidelines. Guided by Good Samaritan’s mission and values, they provide safe, quality, family-centered care, contributing to a supportive and collaborative environment.

Recreation Therapy Aides supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of recreation programs for Good Samaritan residents and clients. They collaborate with clients to plan activities that reflect their interests and choices. Guided by Good Samaritan’s mission and values, they deliver safe, quality, and family-centered care, using their skills and experience to enhance residents’ well-being and quality of life.
