Good Samaritan care homes provide a comprehensive range of services and care to support residents’ physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. We offer numerous programs that align with provincial health authority regulations; see Services & Programs for more information.

As a not-for-profit organization we rely on provincial health funding and the provincial government provides funding for your health care services and pays for the following on your behalf: nursing and health care aides, physician appointments, recreation programming, and most therapy support. Some health services and personal choice items may not be included. It’s best to inquire with the care home manager.

Good Samaritan does charge a monthly Accommodation Fee to cover the cost of your room, meals and other personal services. Accommodation rates are provincially regulated and standardized across all care providers.

Subsidies and financial assistance may be available for eligible residents. Contact your provincial health authority or speak with your Site Manager to learn what resources may be available to you.

Good Samaritan care homes offer home-like environments and living arrangements tailored to individual resident needs. We offer a range of care options depending on the level of need including private and semi-private rooms, one-bedroom suites for couples, and dementia care cottages with design features specific to the needs of persons with dementia. Contact your care home manager for information on accommodations in specific care homes.

Good Samaritan care homes aim to enhance residents’ quality of life by offering a variety of activities and social opportunities. Recreation and social programs are designed to cater to different interests, abilities, and levels of care, promoting engagement, community, and overall well-being. Of course, Spiritual Care is a big component and our care homes have dedicated chaplain support and access to community resources presenting hundreds of faiths. Contact your care home manager for information on recreation and social opportunities in specific care homes.
