The Good Samaritan Society, a Lutheran Social Service Organization, is a not-for-profit, registered charity with over 65 years of experience providing specialized health and community care services in innovative and caring environments.
This Christmas, we can look forward to sharing space and laughter with family and friends. As we once again come together at our tables and around our trees, we remember the people in our community who may not get those same opportunities. At Good Samaritan, we hope that you may be able to open your hearts and help us bring more enjoyment to friends, neighbours, and loved ones in our care.
This holiday season, we are raising funds for recreation programs across the organization to provide activities for our residents and others in our care that foster physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual health. We rely on support from people like you in our communities to ensure there is access to these activities.
Pam Roy, a Recreation Therapist in Lethbridge, shared:
“Group activities like floor curling and bowling are much more than just physical activities to strengthen bodies; our residents and individuals in our care cheer each other on and form friendships. We need financial support to continue to offer our residents these meaningful interactions.”
Please give today to support the recreation programs and other comforts we offer in our homes, or to any program within Good
Samaritan that is dear to your heart. Together, we can bring friendship and joy to those we serve.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
