WHAT: Dementia Care Skills Training Workshop
WHO: Open to family members, friends, volunteers, staff, and ANYONE who comes into contact with people living with dementia

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Angela King has been a chaplain with the Good Samaritan Society since July 2013. Now residing in Edmonton, she is chaplain for Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre in Edmonton, and Good Samaritan Good Shepherd Care Home in Wetaskiwin. Prior to her theological training, Angela was self-employed as a music teacher and accompanist for twenty years. She was also church organist and choir director in Anglican churches in both Ontario and British Columbia. Angela is a Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner (Specialist) with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care. As a certified Positive Approach to Care™ Trainer in dementia care, Angela has presented workshops in several cities within British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Angela is as passionate about her work with people living with dementia as she is about re-framing our understanding of brain change and the skills needed to connect with our loved ones who are living with dementia.
